Max Tasks

Max Tasks are automations that run inside the calling user's personal Max assistant. Two kinds:

  • Scheduled (cron) — run on a schedule (for example a daily 8am brief). Set with a cron expression.
  • Event-based — fire when something happens in a Max Connector (new Gmail message, calendar event starting, deal stage change, …). Set with a trigger slug from GET /max/periodic-tasks/triggers.

A task is either scheduled or event-based, never both. Requires a USER API key.

These are not:

  • User tasks (/tasks) — the account "To-dos" inbox.
  • Object-row tasks — tasks attached to a CRM record.

Notifications

When Max finishes a run, the agent's final text output is what gets sent on the selected notification channels (email, WhatsApp, Slack). You do not need to instruct Max to call a send-email or post-to-Slack tool for the report — the system dispatches the output according to the notify flags.

Integrations

Max tasks run in a sandbox with access to CRM record types, custom tools, and system tools. They only see the connected integrations you explicitly select (e.g. gmail, googlecalendar). Discover valid toolkit slugs with GET /max/integrations.

Operations

URLs use periodic-tasks; the product name is Max Tasks.

VerbPathPurpose
GET/public/v1/max/periodic-tasksList (filters: enabled, name)
POST/public/v1/max/periodic-tasksCreate (cron or trigger slug)
GET/public/v1/max/periodic-tasks/triggersEvent triggers available for the caller's connectors
GET/public/v1/max/periodic-tasks/{id}Detail
PUT/public/v1/max/periodic-tasks/{id}Replace the whole task (also how you enable/disable)
DELETE/public/v1/max/periodic-tasks/{id}Delete
POST/public/v1/max/periodic-tasks/{id}/executeRun a scheduled task now (event tasks cannot)

Trigger config often needs a resource id (mailbox, calendar, spreadsheet). Resolve those with frontline integrations resources … — see Workspace Connectors and Integration Resources in the API Reference.
